Kaiwaz: your comments confuse me, wait a week then rate what 5/5? New Tool? Unlikely. I’m sceptical about the new Opeth too, it was more in ref to how site activity will likely be around that time - it’ll be the only thing curbing the constant barrage of Tool comments... although if new Opeth sucks that’s probably not a good thing, because who likes anti-Opeth trolls?

Guess I can just keep bumping the Disillusion/CoL threads in the interim.

(We) Tool fans are boring af and ware off others agreed. That just shouldn't be an issue for true free art interpretation. There s a big faction of metal fans who ditch Tool up ahead (because they re so much in other level when it comes to metal) and when they give them a shot they always come up with that atitude of "see? I told you this blows!" (Even on some revs after many listens) My advice to that atitude is trust your friend who likes Tool, roll one up with him or drink some beers and truthfully let him show you why the band is cool. Do not think of Tool as "ultimate shit better than everything else that everyone seems to enjoy". Be decent, pure and honest. I myself have only one of these fived. I must tell though, I was completely blown away with their live show this year (so yeah they blow big time).

Lol yeah, but you know there'll be hardcore Tool fans as well that'll 5/5 the new album without even listening to it. Both the obsessive fans and the obsessive haters are just painful to watch.

To be honest, these days I'm more confronted with the obsessive haters than with the obsessive fans. Every article or thread concerning Tool you have people coming out of the woodwork that start complaining about how bad Tool sucks and how Tool fans are the worst fanbase of all time - like they did on the 20 previous articles or threads - whereas the Tool geeks mostly keep to their own message boards.
