Stewie is just odd now, and Brian is too often pathetic.
Also, the episode where Quagmire gives Brian an invective was absolute total bullshit and hypocritical.
That was pretty much an ex-post facto trait too. If you look in the episode where Peter forgets Louis' and his anniversary and sends her off to a scavenger hunt, Brian and Quagmire are getting along just fine.
