The vox are easily my least favorite part of this. The black metal vox sound forced a lot of the time, and the clean vocals sound bored. This has enough beautiful moments to where it doesn't completely drag it down but I can't pretend like I don't notice that.

Pretty much agreed with deathschool here, but I'd feel bad if I 3.5 this though due to how good 'A Celebration For the Death of Man...', 'In the Shadow of Our Pale Companion', 'The Hawthorne Passage...' and '...And the Great Cold Death of the Earth' are. To me Ashes is to me the only superb thing they ever did.
