The important question is:

Which is better: this, RtL or KEA?

Prob the only 'Tallica albums eligible for that discussion.

Personally, my only gripe with RtL is that I feel "Creeping Death" would've been a better closer than "The Call of Ktulu". I'm sure many will disagree with me on that.

RTL > *

This is just RTL part 2, with better production (not a bad thing, ofc).

AJFA could be easily #2 Metallica but goddammm the album is so tedious in some points.

This one has some similarities with RtL such as the instrumental or the power ballad but i don't feel it's RtL part 2. I certainly feel the band evolved though.

Metallica evolved with this album, that's for sure. I think the biggest difference is that this album is heavier and slower to RTL.

I don't feel this slower than RtL at all, but whatever.

Definitely a classic. Battery and Damage Inc. are such good thrashers

Hard to choose with what some might call the "Burton Trinity".

"Battery" is such an awesome opener.

I wish Hans would show up, no Metallica discussion is complete without him.

Never noticed how awesome "Orion" is, such a great instrumental.

I like the serene bass part in the middle, quite beautiful. Hmm, maybe I should review Metallica's full discography. I certainly know it well enough and I love their early work

Hans and Pedro are prob the others best qualified for it, but yeah, I think you're the right man for the job.

As awesome as this is, I do have one small issue with it: the riffs are a bit samey. Doesn't detract from the album's greatness, but prevents me from 5ing it.
