Lots of people like things I say, don't be mad because I disagree. I don't think you liked what MJ said when he completely owned your mother all over your shoutbox and that thread. Hmm.

I'm not trying to be. I'm being totally serious. The best part of Concubine is when Bannon goes into the higher register with RAWR. God, this record is so fucking heavy. It's fucking scary as shit to play a song like Fault and Fracture or Thaw at 2 am

You can eventually make out what Jacob is saying if you read the lyrics along with him.

shut up Thor.

And yeah, I noticed that. With Bannon, the lyrics are pretty concealed, but when you read a long, there's no question that the lyrics on the paper are what he's saying. I particularly love the lyrics to "Fault and Fracture"

And he does two screams back and forth the majority of the time.

The one's a more throaty like "rugh" that's less high, and the other is a nasal shriek that's more like "yaaaa"

i must not be good. i tried getting into this album so many times. i pulled up the lyrics and followed along with it. Within the first 2 "words" i had no idea where the fuck i was. even with the lyrics pulled up it's just rawr.

I haven't looked much into the lyrical content on that album. I think my two faves are Jane Doe and Axe to Fall. Axe to Fall is their most varied and interesting to listen to, I don't really bored, but Jane Doe is slightly better. I should look into the lyrical content for their other works.

Petitioning The Empty Sky, When Forever Comes Crashing, and Jane Doe are seriously some of the best albums ever.
