I find this to be one of the less interesting of the National classics. Still an excellent album but it feels a bit lighter and less emotionally powerful to me

nah I've only heard trouble will find me and that shit's boring as all hell



this is better, but still a snoozefest. I understand the appeal I guess? shit has a distinct vibe around it I really haven't heard another band encapsulate, but would take about a year to distinct the songs from each other

This album gets astonishingly unboring as you let it grow



Alligator might have the more immediate vibe ud like, and its heavier/guitar driven/upbeat
