When Eagles Becomes Vultures is the song that made me get into Converge.

I wish I could relive seeing them again because they played at a venue so fucking absurdly hot I had to leave because I was dying. Saw the first 14 songs of the 21 long setlist but I was bummed how bad that venue was.

I feel you my dude. Often times the shows I'm interested in take place in a giant shit brick warehouse with no AC in Arizona

Yeah, their show was at a church basement in Philly which Philly is known for doing tbh but this one had no fans or ac and it felt like 120 degrees in there and it was like 65 outside. I have no clue how people managed in there. I hope to catch them somwhere in the future that isn't that fucking awful and I refuse to go to that venue again regardless who goes there. Thank god the tickets were only 10 bucks. https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/converge/2011/broad-street-ministry-philadelphia-pa-13d3d17d.html Here's the setlist. I believe I left after Axe to Fall or Wishing Well because me and my friends could not take the heat any longer.

God damn that sounds brutal and exactly like the basement of the brick warehouse venue, where they also hold shows lol. Have they never come back and played a different venue?

They come to Philly all the time just haven't been able to go see them yet. I sadly missed that Neurosis, Converge, and Amenra tour when they rolled through a year or two ago. Still bummed I missed that because all 3 bands are fantastic. One good thing about living near Philly is that Philly is a music centric town and practically any band that can tour will stop by.
