eif is more dense musically and maybe more aggressive.

If by that, you mean it's the most common pick for number one ulc, yeah. But sonically it's way more complex than most of the shit they've done.

Yeah, what mire said basically

@ghandhi
Destroyers is the most accessible cuz it's the least dense
EiF is the most circlejerked/recommended/etc
|

Personally I will not for the life of me understand picking Fracture over any of the subsequent albums
but yeah, opinions and all that

Same, man

Fracture brings the Cryptopsy-isms and has gnarly as hell vox so I understand preferring it if you aren't into the dense dank

Ironically they fired their old vocalist before Eif because he couldnt deliver on the lower end vocals.

Hmm didn't know that

Their first vocalist was way better. This guy is serviceable but boring.
|
| |
Dunno why they couldn't have just had Paul do the low vox but I guess it's to do with their insistence on being a 3-piece

Didnt they have a second guitarist until vermis? Afaik they tried out some guys and werent convinced and then paul stepped up.
|
| |
They had a live guitarist who is also credited on EiF but afaik he didn't write anything and was dropped before they recorded Destroyers

Makes sense that some OG/hardcore fans wouldn't like the direction they took here, but it seems to please most and is bringing new people on (me) so I'd say they had the right idea.

This is the best paul has been so far though. He doesnt step too far outside his comfort zone but he varies pitch a lot more than before.

Sup Chan! Last track is my fave but beyond that I don't know, the very beginning of Lifeless, the end section of the title track, the middle of Inversion, the middle and end of Visceral. So much good shit all over the place.
Edit: you right about the runtime too, listened one time through without looking at my phone at all and I was like "wait, it's over?" Immediately played it again.
