I think superfans of Fuzzrocious and Daughters will be buying them all up lol. Interesting pedal but a little too niche for me. Very cool that City Song is "almost 100%" the Empty Glass pedal though

currently listening to that new Girl Band album and so far it's amazing. That production is godlike

I am kinda worried about Alexis' forehead since I've seen their tour plan for Europe. 25 shows in 30 days - that's simply insane.
and yes I will spam this thread all by myself.
btw: Girl Band album started out good and ended not good.

very worried for his whole body tbh. also his mind. he doesn't seem like he's much into the touring part of touring musician

yeah...and in general: I can't imagine how touring musicians do that in metal, when they headbang every fucking show. Nick Sadler (guitarist) is also very "active" during a show and they do that every day while I couldn't move my head properly for 2 weeks after their show. However, I am glad that the show I will go is after a one day "break".

I couldn't be more happy that these guys blew up.
Put it in the record books that such a dark, uncompromising band can in fact gain a huge following.

Let’s be real for a minute
Is it because of the melon?
Like I remember jamming the singles and they had around 20,000 Spotify listeners. Then the album and review drop and they hit like 200,000. And they sold out the venue they played in my city.
All those new listeners can’t just be new album hype

I believe you're right. Melon truly did put these guys on the map with that forbidden 10.

Yeah I mean melon helped, but everybody hyped this album so much that other people went and listened. I listened to their older album because of this.

melon helped absolutely, but even before that, indie circles and music sites like ours were already boosting them a lot. not really sure how it started. I remember when the singles came out, there were just a handful of us talking about them here. Then it just went through the damn roof

I had listened to Hell and Canada Songs but didn't like either when I first heard them. Really liked the S/t album and was hyped for this, happy they're getting recognition.

I liked them before it was cool, just putting that out there
And ya, self titled is rad. Don’t really care for their first two records

the hype back then for the s/t was serious too. out thru hydra head, the reason why this got twice as hyped was cuz the last hype carried over. I saw lot of the contemporary metal/core groups support the heck outta this.

just read some of the earlier pages here and found this dumbassery:
"HOW THE FUCK IS THIS BEING COMPARED TO EARLY SWANS
EARLY SWANS FUCKS. AGGRESSIVE, ABRASIVE, IMAGINATIVE"
looool. the bookends of this album collectively drop a long steamy turd on that comment

I remember seeing them shortly after Hell Songs came out and that shit blew me away. Canada Songs to Hell Songs was such a bizarre change at the time
