@KILL I mean thrash is prob the lowest on my list to check but I can tell that these types of albums are fantastic for riffy moods!

Poor dynamic range usually gets on my nerves but I really don't mind it here

Interesting, read about sacd before. Are there any modern bands (metal or other) with sacd issues? Does it even exist anymore?

honestly sacds were a failure theyre just super high res audio which you need a damn good setup to even notice but sacds usually have new mastering done by the best so it can change an album so hard, i usually rip the sacds and convert to 44100khz flac anyway

and theres been shit loads of em but and theyre almost always from older bands, rage against the machine's debut just got released on sacd gota get on that

most modern music stays shit unless you're lucky and they do a separate vinyl master

I don't get how it hasn't clicked that this brick walled production style is lame

I totally agree with you Kill. Since human ear can perceive up to about 20'000 Hz, the high resolution of SACDs is useless. What instead is remarkable about SACDs is the master, but no one seems to know it. Sometimes the MFSL masters are unbeliavable good, even better than the first CD press. Try Moving Pictures for example, you can easily find it on RuTracker.

Listening to heathens victims of deception versus their latest really tells you the difference

Amyway if you guys want to try SACDs just download Foobar2000 and the SACD plugin, it's really easy to set up

Yeah if production and vocals were up to par this would be the rare thrash album i like but as it is its a huge detriment considering riffs are good

I really don't have much of an issue with this album's production; Outer Isolation was a bit iffy in that regard, but this one doesn't bother me one bit.

There's nothing wrong with the production, it fits their music perfectly.
