i'm not sure if it's possible for them to beat this and Undertow for me, but I have yet to give Lateralus or 10,000 Days thorough listens so we'll see!

Oh it’s possible. Lateralus is their best album.

Ok, it’s really cool that this Spotify thing is getting more people into Tool (first week sales of the new album will be even more incredible now), but it’s a bit disturbing to me how many people had never listened to these albums lol. Just because they weren’t streaming?

That tinkering sound in Eulogy is amazing and the title drop moment in Third Eye with that groove is so good agreed.
Plus Forty Six & 2

Better than I remember for sure, don’t know why Hooker gets knocked, one of my faves on here.

All of the actual tracks rule very hard. I might be a little harsh in my rating but
I... just... can't... stand... those annoying interludes. They destroy all momentum, cohesion, flow, make this almost like a ''great-tracks-collection''.
It also makes me never want to put this in the cd player, I only listen to it on my laptop with all the junk removed.

Too bad they didn't play Eier in Berlin. Would have been perfect.

Surely it's undeniable that Third Eye is the best closer in their discography

And Intermission is kind of cool even, how it flows into the riff of Jimmy.

An awesome laugher yeah lol

Yeah, I think the lyrics alone make it clear that they're not entirely serious, and intermission is like a musical conformation that they're not to be taken entirely seriously

Agreed. The mood changes release to release imo.

The interludes all segue into their next respective tracks so smoothly, though.

At what point does the site shut down all other comments that aren’t Tool related? I might just log off for a couple of months, this place is going to be a rampant Tool-fest, at least until new Opeth comes out, hehe.
