nothing beats 20th century simpsons. Helps that its laughs are universal. Although in recent years it's sucked hard.
Family guy has great characters apart from lois and peter who I've always disliked. The format's good overall.
American dad is a cruder version of family guy (who would've thought that was necessary?) minus the over reliance on pop culture references. It's a bit shoddy but it can be good.
