Yeah but fiction is supposed to have a clear cause and effect. The hero's journey and all that, if things just happened for no reason in every story then every story would be Game Of Thrones.

That got a good laugh from me Adolf, but my fave moment had to be when he changed the song title to Black Spell Of Destruction. I don't know if that was true to life or if the filmmakers were just taking the piss, but that was hilarious. He should have known he was gonna end up dead right there.

that actually did happen. despite all the inaccuracies, they got a lot of little details right and i thought that was cool.

"because it's better with black" is one of the lines that will appear at every Dzö band practice for the next five years. there were some hilarious lines scattered about the movie, and the best ones were the ones that you know were true.

also, the detail of Varg screaming into a headphone mic was on point.

I couldn't get into the scene cause I kept thinking why is he bothering doing that if he's just gonna shoot himself? To be trve kvlt? Plus he had the charisma and personality of a rag doll so it's not like his death felt particularly tragic, just long and gratuitous. Any potential for his character was shrugged off in 1 line, 'he was bullied, and he hates cats'. Then he just dies. K.

Yeah there wasn't much character depth or chemistry between the band members tbh, although I suppose that was the point since Varg and Euronymous hated each other from the get go.
