This is definitely their best. The combination of the post-punk Peter Katis sounds and the increased piano are exactly what the band needed to go off.



Now that I think about it, the shift from Boxer to High Violet could be seen as indicative of indie rock's turn towards dad rock.

boxer>high violet>Alligator>Sleep well beast>trouble.

ive never gotten the love around trouble. pretty dull and restrained, especially coming after an in your face mover like high violet.
