And I feel the same way about Queen as well. I love Brian May and Roger Taylor, but seeing them live without John Deacon or Freddie Mercury just doesn't interest me much

To me its just cool seeing the guys who wrote songs that are just part of our everyday lives now. Kickstart my Heart is played at every sporting event. Many of their riffs still fuck. IMO once a superhero, always a superhero...even if you can't do what you once did.

If the band is relatively intact from the era that I enjoyed, I'm going to see them live if given the opportunity

Kickstart my Heart is such an incredible jam. My favorite track of them by a mile.

The demo for Kickstart is not much chop though!

Kickstart is probably my 4th favorite on here. Title track is easily my favorite...

"Bob Rock was a savior."

AKA, the guy who ruins every band he touch.

He certainly didn’t ruin Motley Crue (or Metallica for that matter as Lars and James made their own decisions). St Anger was a mistake but can you blame Bob Rock for that. Maybe

But Dr Feelgood sounds awesome because of him

Not only that but the 2 Our Lady Peace albums he produced and the last 3 albums for offspring are pretty mediocre. Well, not so much OLP's gravity, but Healthy...is meh.

LMAO no.

"Not only that but the 2 Our Lady Peace albums he produced and the last 3 albums for offspring are pretty mediocre."

I mean those bands were already pretty mediocre so there wasn't much he coulda done there.

I don't agree with that last statement at all. First 4 OLP albums are flawless, the same with the first 4 offspring albums.

I am just gonna respect your opinion and exit stage left.

I doubt any other producer could have prevented the downfall of The Offspring

I don't think Offspring's first four are flawless, but at least they're nowhere near as bad as Americana. I heard that album around the time I was first getting into pop punk, and it almost made me give up on the genre entirely

Love or hate them, Dr Feelgood is Motley best album and a perfect finale for the 80s metal. Even a grung-a-holic like me can admit it.

I was disappointed when Dr. came out, they totally jumped the shark,

remember most of my friends where all about it, Dr. is a descent song but I had moved on by that point to LZ, BS, and Metallica
