what kind of reception were you suggesting for suggesting that people who have spent years writing opinion pieces for this site don't have the basic self-awareness to recognise that their content is subjective (contextual/informative dimensions aside) and then to throw your toys out of the pram about the phrasing of reviews i'm more or less certain you only read a miniscule fraction of, and even then firmly within the context of their alignment with your own opinions (which, shock of all horrors, tend to be far more pervasive in discussion than those of the writers you love to handwave over)

look sometimes reviews I read on this site just come off to me as overly judgy and like the author is trying to indict people for not seeing it their exact way. as if the author is just sitting at people enjoying something they don't thinking "heh...what plebs. they should be listening to good music, aka what I like."

I think the simple solution to the issues venin is having, would be for all reviews to contain "imo" whenever an opinion is being expressed. This way, all potential confusion can be avoided. I cannot envisage a reason why this shouldn't now be standard practice.
