Yeah Piece of Mind is awesome but it has 2 or 3 weak tracks IMO (Quest for Fire, Sun and Steel and possibly Die With Your Boots On but that one's grown on me a bit). The rest of the album rules though m/

5 out 5? Wow... I wonder what the reviewer gave Powerslave or 7th Son, 9 out 5?...

This is a decent album but very far from Maiden's best.

So true, those two are among the few weaker moments on their 80's albums, shame they ruin the flow of the album towards the end. Die With Your Boots On is really nothing special but somehow I've always liked it as a part of Piece of Mind.

I think I actually might have to go with the debut on that, their 80's run was pretty incredible but every album from Killers through Somewhere in Time had a weaker track. Seventh Son is consistent but I've never seen why many fans claim it as their best.

Brave New World is their most consistent in my opinion.

Nah, but this is pretty badass.

Favourite track is probably Brighter Than a Thousand Suns, but most of them rule hard.

For the Greater Good of God is my favorite. Then probably These Colours Don't Run.

I always thought that the main problem people had with Powerslave was its weaker middle section. The first two and last two songs are all so good and the middle kind of pales in comparison.

I love Powerslave, but I agree.

I like the midsection of Powerslave. I mean yeah the rest of it is better but the middle 4 songs are

all still great imo.

imo, the weaker tracks on Powerslave are better overall than the weaker tracks on any of the other albums. I think all the songs on that album are at least excellent.

I always thought "The Duelists" was unspectacular and as far as instrumentals go, "Losfer Words" is somewhat boring. As the title of the track kind of gives away, it's structured like it was supposed to have vocals.

Now on Brave New World, the track that I would probably say is the weakest would be "The Mercenary." I would take that song over all of the middle four on Powerslave except "Back in the Village."

Brave New World would be my favorite of their new albums if it had better choruses.

Flash of the Blade is the only kinda meh track for me on Powerslave, still good though.

When this album first came out...I thought it was pretty good. But as time went on and I listened to more....I grew to really like it. IMO, it's one of their better albums. It had my expectations for The Final Frontier WAY up there. And then I was let down. Go figure.

Difference of opinion then. My least favorite on BNW is 'Blood Brothers' and I like the four middle tracks on Powerslave more. Though BNW is still great, that's the only song I don't really like.
