I'm running through this again for the first time in a while and while it's definitely far from their best, it still is a good time.

I do like this but like most people I think it’d be cool to really see them push their boundaries again

It’s a chore to get through for me, which sucks because I actually really like Johan as a guitarist

Yep, it's not great, it's not in my DT top 5

Discography too deep for this to be top 5. Still great though.

I know it’s sacrilege to some but for me my enjoyment with DT starts at Damage Done (a few bangers on Haven but album underwhelms as a whole). From damage done onwards I would rank this album at the very bottom. I’d rather listen to we are the void (2nd last).

Top 5 isn’t even possible when you have the Gallery, DD, Character, Fiction, Haven

Actually just looked at their discog and am struggling to think of any album that is weaker than this.

This has a few songs I find good but overall is just very nothing.

I don’t think We Are the Void is the best but it does have an album’s worth of good material. Half of it is just the bonus tracks, a lot of the main album kinda blows

WatV is easily the worst DT by a strong margin. That being said I didn't listen to this one yet and kinda feel like I might not at all. This just isn't the same band in every sense possible. I mean take a look at the lineup, there are 2 faces you can recognize there and they were never the main songwriters on any album. Kinda sad but this band's done, it's been a hell of a ride, 99% of metal bands would kill to have a career as good as this band's had

I think if you take the bonus tracks from WATV and combine them with the best songs on the main album it’s better than this and Moment

It's worth sitting through WATV for Iridium

WATV is definitely better than this. Dream Oblivion, Fatalist, Grandest Accusation, Arkhangelsk, Iridium at least have some character

Between this and the gallery it's really two different bands as only Stanne remains. That was harsh melodeath and this is smooth melodeath. Prefer this - easy

WATV has a unique mood and character (no pun intended) which makes it impressionable. That alone makes it better than Endtime Sigs imo. It doesn’t have the strongest of songs though, for sure.

The Gallery destroys this so bad. And nearly every other album they’ve made does too. But man their 90s stuff was so good

Iridium rules, probably the best track on there, I like Arkhangelsk too and I have a real soft spot for At the Point of Ignition, but overall the album blows.

Agreed the bonus tracks are probably the best thing about it (though I don't count bonus tracks as part of an album, so that's kinda irrelevant for me).

I just absolutely hate the production on it, think if it was at least decent the lackluster songwriting would be less of a problem
