i know it's different but this just made me want to listen to state faults - clairvoyant. it scratches that same aggressive itch but there's so much more color and idk, it's just way more for me than albums like this will ever be

yeah totally get preferring State Faults' brand of climactic, Everything Is Harmonised In Thirds brand of emotional hxc to the kind of chug-centric cheap thrills this caters to (correct take obviously lol), but that's kinda a genre-wide issue and doesn't really meet the record on its own terms

It's been interesting seeing the mixed reactions to this, the ones going crazy over it and the ones confused by the positive response. I think a huge part of the hype/praise for this one goes to the main vocalist. The guy is an acquired taste, and very extra. But he is scary and really intense, moreso than your average hardcore screamer.



I thought the album would be an 11/10 and it ended up being like an 8/10. Disappointing but it's not that surprising.
