Revisiting it’s better than I remember. However my biggest gripes are:
1. A lot of the good parts sound like rehashes of things they’ve done better before, namely a lot of what was successful on s/t
2. A large portion is not what I want from them like straight pop metal, even if perhaps objectively on its own merits it’s good or done well
3. JT is underused, while reliant on Jesse it’s not always earworm catchy like I would want from him, and it’s also too reliant on djent style grooves that don’t always add much. Makes me miss Alan even more than prior albums even ha
