I resentfully listened to this whole album so I could give it a fair rating. I feel like there is so little good music coming out lately that this shit makes waves because there’s literally nothing else to listen to
Also who tf is telling people it’s acceptable to do spoken word for an entire album? Are people really this artistically bereft now that it’s the only method of singing they can do?

This is a weird album for me because (unusually) I heard it exactly once, decided it was cool af but didn’t bother returning… so maybe it’s not all that enticing after all? Maybe I just need to set time aside instead? - but then I don’t have that problem with (‘better?’) similarly lengthened albums

Cmon ryus don’t make me describe spoken word. This is well over 50% unapologetic spoken word and I don’t wanna ever listen to this again so just take my word for it. And ryus, when was the last time an album was released that was above a 4.2 rating on sputnikmusic or above a 4 on rym?

ppl are harsher on new releases but i do think that rock is worse than it used to be. like i said tho, theres a lot of other good underground stuff out there depending on what you like. some of my favorite music has come out in the past 10 yrs even as my taste has diverged from the stuff that reaches the top of the rym charts
if u arent finding good stuff now then thats either a result of ur taste being stuck in the past (condolences) or u just havent found the right stuff.
