pretty wild take bro and I like what you like. hone in on your favorite sub-g's and drill that well bb 2023 is overflowing with stuff to keep my ears busy if you pre-filter out chugspam and 2nd wave monoblack etc. Even if you only judged a year by the very best things it produced for innovating or personal favs this year is no worse, if at all, than recent imo.

Honestly a cringe take tbh, no reason to be stuck in the mud in 2023 with how ubiquitous music access is along with there being an absolutely mindboggling number of active bands playing whatever you could think of. There’s also enough new lists on here with new shit to keep you occupied for months, it’s insane.

i feel like this record is pretty decidedly tilted more towards technical thrash metal than death metal, especially compared to their previous material
