self titled is my favorite i think, which is wild to think about since i used to be a massive self titled hater in high school. really dig how sprawling that album is and how much they threw into it even tho it doesnt all necessarily land (now and future). felt like i was jamming a completely different album than how i remembered it

Having said all that, I checked out some of the other Paramore records and I really can’t stand After Laughter, not saying it’s horrible or anything, just really not my thing. The earlier records were fine, and the self titled I dug too, but this one is by far my favorite.



Figure 8 is one of my favorite songs of the year so far, and Big Man Little Dignity isn’t far behind.

Honestly the whole thing is great, really might bump this higher.

I don't understand the hate either, albums pretty solid to me. Can understand why a couple of the singles are disliked though, but as an overall package this is great!

yeah, I was never even a big paramore fan but the majority of this album slaps. some really cool indie/pop tracks here with catchy hooks. sometimes that's all you need

It's just different. Hearing this in passing you'd be forgiven for not clocking it as Paramore. It's just enough of a step away from their normal fare to be divisive.

Hard agree on Crave. Really like that song. Find myself skipping Liar largely because it's >4 minutes long and is directly in front of Crave. Liar isn't even a bad song.
