I’d encourage anyone to see PWD live as I caught them yesterday at knotfest. I haven’t seen them since they started these big production shows but it’s a pretty mad spectacle. Brought the new songs and songs off Ire and Reverence to life massively with the pyro stuff and Winston crazily surfing through the massive festival crowd. I wouldn’t pop these later albums on but I’d happily watch their shows

Lol a real sign of quality songwriting is when you need overpriced spectacle to make the songs somewhat bearable.

Basically paying to see PWD try to polish turds on stage. I'm good.

I don't even know how I feel about this like the production is substandard and Winston isn't in peak form but some of the hooks are cool. If a God Can Bleed is hilarious though.

I could just put my head in the oven at 400F and have a better time and the brains be cooked like a roasted cauliflower for the first responder

My takeway is: if they are playing a festival im already attending ill check go see their set. Otherwise im not going out of my way to see their shows anymore. They do always put on a good show but their new output and the over the top live set pieces are eh for me tbh.

Their shows are probably really expensive anyway so not worth it for a band that's just "fine" now

Saw em at Knotfest and it was a hell of a show. Hate on the newer records is understandable, but if you have the chance to see them live, l would recommend it.

I remember Home is for the heartless sing along when i saw them on ire tour with Winston holding a flare was great. Also Winston coming out for a thy art song.

If they don't play boneyards what's even the point

I mean, on recent setlists they only go back as far as Horizons and even then, usually just 1 or maybe 2 songs from those 3 albums before Ire.

I know someone that prefers steroid-metal PWD over their metalcore stuff. And like... I guess there is an audience for that then so what the fuck do we know.

Lol sure. You know what they say about a billion flies...

Even though kwas is their best easily ffs
Oh well they earned it. Get that bag playing for thousands of screaming Europeans I guess 👍

^ I’d do the same shit. I’d sell out so badly (i don’t even know if they actually sold out or if they really just wanted to go this route). Like, creativity and passion can be done on the side or later. Moolah pays the bills

They play gigantic festivals and the drummer is selling his house in Byron Bay for 10 mill. They're set for life

Disappointed as a fan of their music but happy for them. Few bands ever grinded as hard as these guys. Good luck to em

What if this was all the long con to get onto big festival lineups and their next album they drop KwaS and Horizons esque stuff lol.

That would be supremely based
