Of the singles, "Time Loops" is probably still my favorite, but the clean refrain that takes over "Delicious" is awesome and a great emotional preview of the succeeding "Star Baby."

I cannot think of another example off the top of my head, only saxophones.

I get Fear Before, Number 12, sometimes Daughters vibes (other than TDEP). all good things

The great thing about the violins is that they’re not forcing them in our faces like a gimmick like ‘look how clever/wacky we are we use violins in metalcore’ it’s just another really cool layer of their sound.

The only band I can think to do it well in metal Unexpect but obviously they’re more on the extreme side.

For me theres lots of Dillinger and #12 influence here but they have enough of their own identity within it.

The end of Star Baby reminds me of the end of Mordecai by BTBAM but with a saxophone on lead instead and I love it

How nice of them to give us the smartly placed Title Track as a bait to come back again and again, until we increasingly begin to digest and appreciate what is going on over the whole runtime of this beautifully chaotic album.

N12 with the Daoboys would make for a fun show.

#12 wore off me massively in latter life, but this is decent I guess

crazy thing is I've actually listened to this a fair bit (at least enough to form a solid opinion) and despite the potentially quite polarising amalgamation of styles, that's all I can come up with...

'decent I guess'

I need to re-evaluate some things

I'm still waiting for when you join the Unexpect club.

Not feeling this

If I wanna laugh I'll watch a George Carlin special, this just seems kind of zany for the sake of being zany, although some of the musicianship is undeniably solid

I don’t really understand people saying this isn’t funny, it’s not supposed to be funny? The transitions are really good and feel like they work for the songs unlike say BTBAM dropping into a bluegrass or polka section for seemingly no reason

Pika your opinion is bad but absolutely have a nice day
