there are tons of great riffs on here and i love that proggy feel that alot of thrash lacked. every song goes on for too long tho.

Now I'm just imagining Jens joining the other two guitarists for a triple-guitar lineup... the riffs would be even crazier and thicker than they already are

Man I love the mix on this so much. Solo on Internal Evidence is so damn clean. Has this relaxed vibe to it that is just perfect imo

Indeed that average rating is obnoxious. Almost want to 5 it to help increase it. Just listened to this for the first time yesterday and I think it's one of my favorite first listens in years.

This album's basically the halfway point between AJFA-era Metallica and the signature sound Meshuggah would eventually create for themselves. Which, of course, means it rules

Damn! That demo front to back kills. When Sovereignes Morbidity speeds up towards the end it's absolutely pummeling. I love it. I can't quite pinpoint what it is about their solos on this early material but man I can't get enough of it

This was my first Meshuggah album at 15. My brain couldn't comprehend what my ears were hearing. I couldn't stop listening to it and trying to figure it out and when it finally clicked I had one of the biggest lightbulb moments in my life. The CD I have of this has the None EP at the end, and Ive jammed those 4 songs more than any other EP in my collection
