This album basically took up my entire July. I didn't listen to much else from the 11th to the 29th, when Anberlin dropped their EP and I was forced to temporarily pivot. Still, certain moments in various songs continue to reveal themselves, specifically certain vocal inflections. In Capo 1, I can relate all too well to the line, "Despite miraculous saving, I continue choosing crisis." I love the delivery of, "Never gave you enough time, promise that will change" in Koi Pond - it sounds so sad and sincere. The slight elevation in excitement/tone in "Your touch, it was heaven sent" from Oceans. Also, I'm not a drummer; what is the pattern used in Blessings and Curses? I don't know if it's just the way the rest of the music is overlaying it or what, but it sounds sort of complex in a way that really bolsters my enjoyment of the song. It might be my favorite part, lol.

"There's something so wholesome about Atari enjoying this. It just feels like an Atari album. Also, it reminds me so much of his first few comments on my Yellowcard Southern Air review. When I saw that album clicking for him way back in 2012, I knew our tastes would overlap."

wholesome comment! glad we're still sharing the same space 10 years later ;)

haven't had the time I really want to digest this more but today is the day

@Sowing I split the 16th notes between the ride and the open hi hat, which creates a cool effect with the panning

@Atari hope you enjoy : )

I dunno why Chat Pile would not be included on a Sput bill considering they are also a Sput band, genuinely kinda weird to keep adding names and not pick the band that has the #1 trending album on the site lol

This is the sorta indie/emo album folks over 50 listen to so they can tell the young'uns 'hey, I listen to emo too'
