Been listening to it a lot the last few days. Lyrically, there's a lot to uncover, especially in the 2nd half. It's definitely Kendrick's most personal album.

I'm kinda shocked by how hooked I am to this given that I hate trap and generally don't listen to rnb and this has elements of both, but somehow it all fits in beautifully, might bump

"u" is bad and the approach is overly literal but somehow "We Cry Together" definitely works for me

Both are brilliant. Neither are tracks to blast out of car speakers on a commute, but both nail what they set out to do imho.

The first two tracks aren’t bad and slightly growing on me, but I still think Worldwide Steppers, Rich - Interlude, and Cry Together are his worst tracks to date.

Rich Spirit, Auntie Diaries, and Mr. Morale also don't do much for me.

Some of this seems more like spoken word poetry over really repetitive beats than fully fledged songs, just not very enjoyable to listen to.

Yeah, there are still some songs on here I don't entirely vibe with yet either. Still, I think it's better than DAMN. overall... much less scatterbrained and more consistently interesting, despite the longer runtime. Plus, some of the songs that I didn't initially enjoy - Die Hard, We Cry Together, etc. - have grown on me quite a bit since I first heard them

I keep coming back to Mr Morale, just such a bop, the way he winds around that beat. Mother I Sober and Auntie Diaries also amongst the best for me. Definitely a grower though, especially the first half. The hook on die hard hasn't left my head for days.
