Same here. Birth of Violence was kind of boring IMO but if her other stuff is anything like Ptolemeae then sign me up.

BoV is one of her weaker albums imo. Try apokalypsis it's a good show of her at her best. If you don't mind heavier stuff abyss and hiss spun might be your jam too. Pain is beauty is more electronics driven. If you like lo-fi stuff pick grime and the glow

neek listen to Ira it is the soundtrack to every flaccid horror b-movie you will spend the next twenty years of your life making, and also a very good album

Boney yeah check Apokawoofsis or Pain is Beauty - Birth was kinda mid, but those two are where the hype comes from

Unless you want the one with the bang crashes and slackass songwriting, in which case go straight to Abyss

Hm, between Abyss and Apokalypsis which is the more likely to get the Boner going?

Apo defs

Pain is the best and has better songwriting and covers more ground, but Apo holds up and hits hard at its best

Oh fuck, how could I forget unknown rooms. That one might be the best pick honestly. That or apokalypsis is my pick.

Boney listen to both just you can confirm I was right about Abyss being a 90% snooze in the songwriting dept

I’m definitely preferring darker female singer/songwriters lately more so than my typical limp indie ones so will try to bump Wolfe up in my queue for whenever I stop being overwhelmed by new releases.

The first few tracks of abyss do kinda fall limp but the latter half is much better. No clue how carrion flowers is one of her more popular tracks.

The latter half has some clunkers too, and even the better tracks (Grey Days/Iron Moon) feel like they orbit single good ideas without taking them any futher. Simple Death is easily the best as songwriting imo, with After the Fall or ig Survive some way after

But yh Carrion Flowers is defs as flat-handed as they come. Big time loud noises metalbait
