I know it's pretty pointless to bitch about it but some of their ratings/charts are genuinely baffling. Are you seriously telling me the new Deftones is better than almost any melodeath album in history? Nah, fuck off lol

well most melodeath is redundant as fuck, that’s my hot ass take.

Just listen to Slaughter of the Soul and you’ve pretty much got the gist of it, I don’t care how wrong I am I don’t even wanna hear it.

so yes I would take private music over at least 95% of melodeath records…

tbh the Gallery and maaaaaybe Heartwork are the only two that I could name off the dome that I probably like more than the new Deftones… and even then Heartwork is still like my third favorite Carcass record

Pretty funny that Converge and Bad Omens dropped on the same day. The two titans of metalcore, and no im not kidding, and no there is no contrast in quality or creativity, earnestness… general competence, nope. None of that. Just two cool metalcore bands putting out music on the same day.

I’m an absolute metalhead. I grew up with Metallica and Iron Maiden. I listen to bands like Orbit Culture now. There’s a special place in my heart for this band. So heavy when they need to be, melodic other times. No matter which one you need right now.. you’ll find it with Bad Omens! Absolute artistry.

Was seeing if I could find the guitar player and singer’s shitty old metalcore band from back in the day but I think they wiped it off of the internet

Couldn’t be much worse than this. I remember thinking this record wasn’t too bad but god all of these new singles has me so fucking sick of their schtick.

And the breakdown on the new one is one of the most limp dicked things I’ve ever heard. The amount of praise they get from normies genuinely makes me wanna tear my hair out. Just the most bland “spacey” alt metal getting this level of attention is pathetic.

I'm 100% convinced at this point that RYM is just full of edgy teenagers because all these new singles are rated highly over there lol
