Admittedly, in this day and age, in a way it is. But back in the days, it wouldn't be. Immolation happens to be one of those bands that paved the way for death metal. Immolation has always been all about songwriting skills, delivered with brute force. Perhaps that's what makes this album kinda predictable, but you just can't blame a band for sticking to their signature sound.

Immolation are anything but generic tbh, they have stuck to the same formula for years so can get homogeneous but generic? Not even close.
You know an Immolation track when you hear it, they've had a certain trademark for years.
Can't think of another DM band that sounds like these guys tbh.
