sorry for being tactical with my votes, lol
I wasn't stopping you from picking them, that was just why I didn't! Far too many amazing cuts restricting me to 3 like that... was so tough!

I just don't really vibe with anything from CoL's first two records.
Pika give us your list!

The Beyond is ferocious. It has a really ‘urban’ claustrophobic sound and considering it’s about surveillance capitalism, they did a pretty good job of nailing it. I also really like Celestial for similar reasons and think that’s an underrated ISIS album.

which record in the band's discog has the biggest emphasis on a dusty rural kinda americana vibe? Salvation, The Kingdom? ive heard Somewhere Along The Highway which was incredible.

This is easily my favorite album of theirs so far....long way to go still

@Ashtiel: SATH has the most isolated, rural feel to me (it’s lyrical themes are about male loneliness, too). Salvation always felt more ethereal to me, but that might be because I always have a strong connection to album art work, which in that case is pure white. A Dawn To Fear has a Pacific Northwest, temperate type of atmosphere and this latest one feels more frigid and alpine.

I've listened to this all the way through 3 times today, they really did a perfect job of balancing out the crushing parts with the tame on this one. A perfect blend
