Typical. Such is the life of a pigeon pleb such as myself. Rats of the sky, they say. No music for you. Just corn and pigeon shit.

“I am too neurotic about the accuracy of my ratings to join into the knee-jerk chorus of either 5- or 1-bombing albums as a weak-willed means to self-appoint my wokeness, but were I so blithe, this’d be getting the five-r.”
Dude, read that cringed comment of yours again. You wanna poke fun with your shit terms that are generic mainstream appointed stereotypes? Have fun being a basic bitch.

Is liking this band a measurement of wokenes??? I hope so. I want to be considered awake.

Does rating in the middle equate to being in a coma

Yeah. Wake up sheeple. You can't live on the fence forever.
Actually, I'd probably fit into that bracket. At least as far as their first album is considered...

Damn right it is, my guy! Let's see how good your balance is. XD
For real, have you had the opportunity to listen to this album yet? What are your general thoughts on the group?

Oh I have absolutely zero opinion. I didn't know they were as big as they were and have yet to listen to anything they've done. Something about them pisses people off I guess a la Black Midi but eh, I don't put stock into that.
I'll probably end up listening when it's out officially, dunno if it is yet or not. I figure it's not nearly as bad or good as has been said, but I'll make that judgement when I get to that point.

They became big enough quite fast. Acts that are nominated for the Mercury Prize often get quite a bit of buzz around them as a result. It helps too that a number of notable American critics and publications are talking highly of them.
As far as annoying people - yeah man, I dunno. I don't pay much attention to that. I'm interesting in hearing this album, though. It's out Friday.

Damn, everything is out Friday. Rolo, Persefone, and this.
Gotta say, with Rolo and Persefone, this is probably firmly at the bottom of any listening order I have.

Heard the leak, its like Arcade Fire goes post rock. imo its not as bad as people here are saying but not as good as rym are hyping it to be. Its funny reading the comment box of this album there and people hyped because this will appear at top 50 all time or something in the chart update lol.
