god this is a lot, kinda forgot quite how hard it goes. Weird how it just becomes hypnotic and despite the perceived homogeneity (not inherently a negative aspect of music), it unexpectedly pulls out some sick grooves and little moments of (relative) respite. The pacing is honestly pretty solid. Yeah, 50 minutes of this style is bonkers but I'm still digging it. Probably due for a bump.

completely fell in love with this band last year, to the point that they topped my spotify wrapped list. then i played my wrapped list next to my girlfriend and she was like "wtf is going on with your brain man" lol. their intensity is unmatchable

lol yeah I don’t knowingly expose myself to such judgements but my wife did overhear me playing Diamanda Galas once and it certainly raised questions
I don’t remember if I’ve heard Orange Mathematics (maybe I haven’t?) but I’ll be digging deeper here for sure. These guys have struck a chord with me in a way most other modern ‘this shit is stupid HEAVY’ bands haven’t, so they’re certainly worth exploring further

honestly, this is kind of insane. Cosmo (previous page) nailed it cos these song-writing chops are unexpectedly hitting rn. I enjoyed their sound but (like some of you) struggled with the length and relentlessness at times. No more an issue with this particular Frontierer.

their repeated and seemingly never-ending assault felt like an issue for me at first too but when i gave them more time i couldn't get enough of it, and there are enough distinctive nuances between the tracks as well
you should also check sectioned if you haven't done so yet (pedram's other project)

it’s like Chaosphere went metalcore so it’s understandable of it being exhausting but it’s not an unfamiliar aggression

Chaosphere remains the only 'shug album I've ever really gotten into, weirdly
