The tragedy about Tones and I is that my biggest issue with her is something I don’t even know how to fix. Like, generally when I don’t like someone’s vocals, it’s because of their techniques and style. For instance, I think Matt Bellamy’s voice itself sounds fine; I just don’t like all the overly melodramatic things he does with it. But with Tones, it’s just her natural voice! Initially I was like “oh ok, she probably just uses vocal effects or changes her pitch for her singing”. But then I watched a few interviews and… yeah, she just fucking sounds like that, lol
So I don’t know what solution I’d even suggest, short of vocal surgery

I've only heard Dance Monkey but didn't think it was worth the hate she seems to get. I also won't ever listen to any of her other music. That coconut song was considerably more annoying to me.
