This just seems to be from the perspective of someone who doesn't understand the love story behind the song. Let's be honest with ourselves, an album that is just about a love story or whatever, as IGOR was, being done just after IGOR would simply be... too risky. So he's gotta have bangers, he's gotta have features. Otherwise it would be too much trying to "please the critics". In simpler terms. If he was just trying to do IGOR or Flower Boy again to please you cunts, it possibly wouldn't've worked anyways. Let the man be himself.
And yeah uhh... S/ITYWTD is a fucking beautiful song, sym. The bridge in SWEET is nasty, and the intro into ITYWTD is fucking banging, and the vocals are beautiful. "energy drainer" my ass.
This album is for the fans, not the critics.
This album will age like fine wine, whether you like it or not. I mean the tracks seem to get better every time I listen to them. I spent the first 5 hours of the time spent listening to the album listening to basically just lemonhead and corso, as I assumed it was an album for him to flex etc.. Took me another 30 to realise the story in the album. And now I will proudly and easily hold this album in my top 5.
Sure, I'm a sucker for nasty bass and well, drums, drums and drums. But still... the album hits the note with bridges and switches and vocals, and nasty bars. The vibe is vibey... I don't want to say more.

man this project potentially has a lot of good signs for the future of Tyler’s career, especially the maturity in instrumental creation, but boy do the features absolutely fuck over this album. Especially a certain DJ

Imagine not understanding the cultural importance of a DJ Drama feature from the artists standpoint and judging it because you didn’t grow up with your idols tapes having his features
