So first of all, anyone who agrees with you is intelligent, and anyone who doesn't, isn't? Posting like that will get you nowhere, so please don't.

the guy did have a point though
My, my, my, we're so very concerned about people talking about Alter Bridge in here, aren't we? Gotta love the need to put down the unwary people who feel like sharing their thoughts just because you want the thread's relevance to die so badly.
Oh, and by the way, the review definitely made it clear that splashfreak liked the album a whole lot, as would any positive review. If it's so biased, though, instead of bitching and moaning about how much splashfreak liked the CD, you can feel free to write your own review in response. Just please try not to make it biased towards the fact that you hate it. I wouldn't want you to have to eat your words or anything.
That was the lamest fight tactic I've ever seen. My congratulations, though--you're the first troll I've seen that knows how to spell. Are you their king?
|
| |
Haha! The troll king. Sounds like a nice job.
Total Guitar gave this a good review too. I was expecting a Q review of it this month, but apparently not. Then again, they were 4 months late reviewing Evanescence, so they aren't too reliable with mainstream US rock.
Since I'm on a downloading tip right now, I'll check this out and post my thoughts in here.
I recommend "One Day Remains" the song. It kicks a lot of ***.

Wow. So much relavent discussion has occured since i last came here i don't know where to start...
Yeah, One day Remains is freaking awesome. So much better than Open your eyes... should have been their first single... *mutters about their lost opportunity*
Anyway, as for the ideas of continuing albums. I would like to see a bass solo and a drum solo. Not more than one maybe, but it would be cool to see how good the *other* two members of the band are!
My favorite idea of your was the simplest. Myles should do some more rythym stuff, allowing Mark to go even craizer on the guitar. That would be awesome.
More guitar solos: awesome, of course. but maybe only two or three shred solos an album? that would be cool, but it wouldn't be overdoing it, i don't think.
I can't remember all of the other stuff Ripper said... but I have to go. I'll get back on later, and try to keep this *GASP!* relevant discussion alive!

Oh and by the way, I did edit my review. Tried to make it less biased, but also added some stuff on the song reviews... kind of weird cuz i think most of the songs got a higher rating, but the album went down in rating... oh well, whatever :thumb:

We'll see you.

I think if they're going to have crazy shredding solos they should make the rest of the song faster as well, just for that section. For an example of a mainstream rock band that accomplished this well, listen to "Shine" by Collective Soul.
|
| |
Live was better than Creed anyway, so hopefully this is true. If you've got to sound like someone (and they do), then you should aim high.
|
| |
They're famous in America: "Lightning Crashes" is just one of those SONGS that's near perfect.
|
| |
I can't believe this got so much attention...but kudos, I guess
To the idiot citing "YHBTIM" shut up. That guy is like Maddox, but less funny. Just because he thinks a band is bad does not mean the band is bad.
|
| |
And even then, Maddox will usually back up his opinion with facts or statistics...or at least justify his viewpoint.
This guy, and everyone else is just like "Lolz, this is what I think, believe it, b*tches"
|
| |
But he's brave enough to face those people head on. Even though they're usually a bunch of kids, he's still willing to trade electronic flamefests for real-life ones.
|
| |
So what? That doesn't change the fact that he's nothing more than an opinionated moron who doesn't like alot of popular bands.
Doesn't make him any more credible, or provide any real reason for believing anything he says.

Well... I don't like any of the bands he hates either, so it's unanimous that they suck. Right?
|
| |
No.
I happen to like Evanescence and Linkin Park. Not as much as other bands, but I still like them.
It's not unanimous.
Besides, Iai likes Evanescence too.
|
| |
I was just joking; I know you happen to like a lot of "bad" bands that others will argue against for some reason.

Edit: This is now the most popular review in the forum's history. Well done everybody.
Who'd have thought? That's amazing.
