I prefer the Lullaby version of The Last Man On Earth, over the original. Beautiful song
Also, damn I’ve listened to this album a lot over the past year. Thinking back on it makes me appreciate it even more

Delicious Things, Smile, and How Can I Make It OK? are three absolute stalwarts that I return to all the time. Most of the other songs are quite good too. Might not be every bit of the 4.7 or 4.5 I handed it at first, but 4+ territory is right on.

forgot this existed lol
this was to 2021 a far inferior version of what blue rev was to 2022 and I've never moved on from anything more easily

I need to listen to Blue Rev more. I remember jamming it like 3-4 times in the course of a week and falling so hard for Velveteen to the point that it became a SOTY contender. The rest of the album never passed for better than 'pretty good' for whatever reason, but I admittedly didn't give the album more than a handful of spins.

blue rev was a steady grower (started at like a 3.2 and did a full point jump), but is far more thoughtfully constructed and emotionally nuanced than this puddle-deep sequence of catchy choruses and schoolgirl rock postulation. this band are kinda fine for what they are and probably put on a decent live show, but i don't think there's a single point at which they offer anything close to a distinctive voice
gonna drop my rating a pinch, my optimism for this kinda hinged on its small handful of highlights having an enduring presence

‘forgot this existed lol’
Fleet Foxes - Crack-Up released 6yrs ago. Loved it and then in a flash it’s gone not even committed to memory.
Music as vapour has been happening since the start of the 21st century.
