This is a very good album all told but it’s pretty close to being terrible. There’s a stretch somewhere in the middle where the pace and utter chords-n-melody similitude between songs genuinely kinda freaks me out. And yet the album is good; and yet I’m not even sure I’d call that middle stretch a caveat. First bunch of seconds (“PRAH miss MEE”) of the verses to “self-destruct” are just candy. Swish
