this was actually my first mis sigs which was kinda tight bc with nowhere to go but up i was initally digging this a fair bit before i got into the rest and learned quickly its quite far below their admittedly very high standards. river king and the closing two are still solid jams tho

Cascade Locks is the best song here no question. And oh man onion, I wish I could listen to Controller again for the first time. If you enjoyed this, I can't imagine how hard their classics hit you.

also love them. mirrors more so bc its got some of my favorite guitarwork of theirs ever but absent light rules too. karl was an absolute powerhouse of a vocalist and he was perfect for beefing up this band

Mirrors needs a remaster, badly. The production really weighs down how good most of the songs are. Except The Failsafe, I think the rawness works in the song's favor.

Yea the production on Mirrors isnt the best but truthfully I like it because it makes the heavy moments hit SOOOO hard. That breakdown in Failsafe sounds massive cus of that prod.

mirrors production is fine for the hardest hitting moments, like failsafe and that ending to reverence lost hit crazy hard, but it does hold the album back a bit. would kill for a remaster especially for something was always missing and butcher
