Into The Sunset is undeniably their worst track. Which is sad to say as their discography up until ArSe was at least relatively solid. DGD used to be my favorite band. It's still top 3, but fuck this album would absolutely blow if it were done by anyone else.

Into The Sunset and Calentamiento Global are the worst DGD songs to ever exist. “Born To Fail” would be a banger if Tilian wasn’t being a cocky prick and shitting on Tides Of Man, I’ve never had a DGD track rub me the wrong way so fucking much.

Calentamiento Global would be the worst song DGD has ever written if they consistently didn't have terrible shit on otherwise good and lengthy albums that should've been axed... (Honey Revenge comes to mind)...

This wasn't that disappointing to me since I don't hold Gavin on high regard, we'll see when Make Them Suffer's LP drops later this year. I hope it doesn't break my heart like Worlds Apart...

When I heard the first single, Prisoner, I thought DGD had finally matured and changed. From lyrics to the way they use vocals on that single is beautiful. But after hearing lyrics lie and Three Wishes, it became very apparent to me, that nothing has really changed. Lemon meringue tie could be a song on Afterburner and no one would notice, really. It's super formulaic apart from one Spanish tune.



The instrumental will hopefully be very good, like bump to 4 good, but I just can not stand their emo vocals and often so ADHD songwriting. Hitting the snare 4 times is not how you make a dynamic transition in a song. And since I'm not a fan of Jon Mess vocals anyway, that one part in Say Hi (where it sounds like he's about to sneeze like 3 times), is just pure torture to me, instrumentally too.



PS. RIP alot like birds, a band with actual good songwriting.

I mean, yes, RIP ALLB, but Lemon Meringue Tie is leagues above anything on this album. And fuck, you're one to talk, there hasn't been a good Northlane release since Singularity. Node was a flaming pile of dog shit.
