PA had garbage production too, not sure if this is worse tbh. FiFAP still has their best production imo

It's metalcore. Calling a genre "tired" or "played-out" just means that maybe you have moved on from that genre. But don't crap all over metalcore bands for being metalcore just because they have stayed at home in their element. This is a good, not great, metalcore album. I applaud ABR for putting out quality music in this genre.

PA has more individual songs I enjoy but it is also more consistently irritating so it's a horse a piece

I love metalcore, but ABR's sound is tired and played out. Why are people okay with bands being uninspired and derivative just because "it's metalcore"?

I don't know why people are applauding this band for doing the same thing for the 8th time. The signature ABR sound isn't interesting or varied enough for me to want 8 albums of this along with their wildly inconsistent production. They have been a staple of metalcore for like 15 years, but yet have failed to make anything truly impressive.

No it doesn't. It means it's tired and played out. It also doesn't mean it's not enjoyable - unless it's this album, which is exactly that.

I liked the heaviness of fifap but they've already done that better with Messengers and Thrill Seeker. and the more "prog" stuff they threw on it sucked compared to Constellations and R&R. It just has no redeeming qualities to me.

Imo, the "prog" elements were a great progression/extension of Constellations and R&R, which is part of what makes me like it most.

PA is when the "prog" elements just nosedived right off a fucking cliff into obnoxiously bland territory

FIFAP is the worst offender of the prog shit by far. So many stupid ass moments on that album where shit feels shoehorned in.
