Oh yeah, he's changed quite drastically over the past decade. (for the better imo) also to clarify, they were a band at one point in time. But I'm pretty sure since Lonerism, its been a one man project spearheaded by Kevin Parker.

Starting to think the vox and melodies here are genuinely awful but the production and songwriting is pretty strong

I'm realizing that his vocals have sounded the exact same with no experimentation or dynamics for at least the past three records (haven't checked Innerspeaker). He does this distant pretty little falsetto thing with like no passion whatsoever. I go into every Tame Impala record wanting to LOVE it but always just end up like "yeah, that was pretty good"

His vox aren't bad by any means, but yeah with 4 records out you would think he would at least do a little bit of experimentation with his voice. Nope. Always the pretty falsetto thing.
