I found it, wow do they sound like complete morons in said interview, even beyond being fascist...

Funnily, they also said this, affirmatively and (seemingly) serious: 'Well, Black metal is a tradition, as I already said. Open-minded people who want to experiments are traitors.'; 'Black Metal is a tradition, and to experiment musically or lyrically should be punished by torture'

Well, on the bright side, they broke their own rules. Time to torture them

Up on bandcamp for streaming. Vocalist doesn't sound like mikka.

Maybe actually, I dunno.

I think the new one is Mortuus from Funeral Mist but I could be wrong. Anyway I always loved Mikko's vocals. Too many people around here underestimate his talent as a vocalist for the things surrounding him.

Hmm, new one was underwhelming on first listen for me, which usually isn't the case for DSO. Sounds like the Ad Arma approach for the bulk of the album.

New one is definitely different to anything DsO has done before. Structurally it's akin to Synarchy but sound wise it's similar to this one, yet as Pon mentioned it sounds like Ad Arma's formula repeated for 45 minutes. I'm pretty sure I've missed something though. I missed Mikko's vocals tbh although Mortuus does a good job. Need to give it more listens but it could be their weakest album since their sophomore's. Still excellent anyway

Yeah, Mikko was a great vocalist, but far from irreplaceable in my book. Cool that they took him out.

im only about half way through the new album but im ok with a more somber less chaotic DO album. and yeah sounds like Mikko got replaced but i could be wrong. im pretty sure they've used multiple vocalists in the past so it's hard to know for sure

They traded a mediocre vocalist for a mediocre vocalist and now the music isn't even good enough to carry it, sadge.

It's really not BAD bad tbqh, it's just weird being so bored by a DsO album.

Saw a reddit comment that said Mikko is on one song with M(gla) on another and Mortuus on the rest I guess??? Haven't seen anything strong to confirm though, just by ear I think I've heard two different vocalists at least.
