Wovenwar is pre fun. The first album has kind of a straight up metal vibe with a mxc sound to it with good cleans. Their 2nd album has a mix of harsh and cleans and is more of a typical mxc album so the first one might be more up your alley, in this case. After the AILD singer got out of jail they rebanded and Micah went back to Oh, Sleeper, so I assume they are prolly not gonna do much else

On Let the Future Tell the Truth for IaA, there is a song called Since 1848, and on the album before that, there is one called Since 1776, so either of those could be it. I like everything I have heard from them, but Future is my fave of theirs

I peeped your ratings first and none of them popped up so hope you find something you like out of whatever you listen to in that!

One more idea: and speaking of something the something bands, you ever listened to Protest the Hero, Bandit? They get decently heavy, Rody tends to sing quite a bit more than he screams, they have fairly bonkers song structures, and everybody in the band is super talented at their respective instrument. Kezia would be a good starting point to see if you are into them

It was pre good, Steak! I was on their kickstarter or whatever gofundme they were using and it took forever for it to finally release after it made it's goal but yeah, I was happy with the end result

I actually have no idea what either of the guys in IaA look like, ha. I haven't watched any videos of them playing now that I think about it, but yeah, the guitar player is pretty damn good. I think he actually records all the instruments, doesn't he?

I forget how I stumbled on Apollo but I was all for it and dloaded/bought all their stuff and then I found out they broke up after the LP was released and it made me sad

Still working on getting to that list Ecna, but in the meantime I did stumble across the new Bilmuri album and it's actually pretty stupid and fun if anyone is interested. There's a nice little Jon Mess & Dayseeker feature too lol.

This was my first experience with Bilmuri and I'm digging it. Super quick listen but all the songs are nice. FLUORIDE and liftheavystone are probably my favorites so far but I'm only like 2-3 listens in.
