The first time I heard Bitches Brew (the song, not the album), I had no clue what was going on. I don't even think I got it. That was two years ago and I still haven't listened to it again.

bitches brew is cool but it's not even close for me

Bitches Brew is accessible for a rock listener? I listened to tons of rock back then and I wasn't really impressed, more "where's the melody wtf they're just playing randomly" (though that's probably because i haven't delved into jazz yet).

Bitches Brew is very much on the free jazz spectrum. Coupled with being a double album I'd say it's one of the least accessible classic Davis albums. I would suggest The Jack Johnson sessions or even A Silent Way to rock fans.

I need to get into jazz properly. The first time I tried to get into jazz, it didn't really stick out to me. I listened to Cookin' and 'Round About Midnight first to get into Miles and I don't remember anything remarkable.
