tbh yes lol, but calling this a pop album as part of a discussion of pop in general is a stretch

because pop isn't defined by a single aesthetic or style, it's more like a nebulously definable sense of presence and immediacy (mainly in vox obviously) ig, and because that's a super broad field, people are obvs gonna look for very different things in it. half the point of pop is that it evolves and changes according to times and trends, for better or worse, so if it stayed still long enough to attract near-universal consensus like the best indie or metal albums, it'd kinda defeat the point
