Not super excited for Vig's return because I think the production here is pretty awful. They thrived under Jackknife Lee and it would have been great to see them return to him but oh well. I'm super excited for anything new these guys put out, regardless. Generally speaking, they're among my favorite groups, but they're probably in my top 10 active "alt rock"-ish bands.

everything else is stellar. these guys always float between 10-15 whenever i'm ranking my fave bands. well deserved

I like the vibe this album has. it matches the vibe of Swoon more than the last couple albums. a little less upbeat, especially compared to a lot of Better Nature.

considering that panic switch, the royal we, and sort of are on swoon, there's no way it can be worse than this or better nature (and there is no song as strong as those on neck either)
