Didn't feel it first listen, then it hit hard the next day, then I played it too many times and now I'm meh on it again. It's a bit one-note and short and formulaic. I actually really like the chorus but I don't think the rest clicks 100% as a whole.

I think it's good, but yea, I feel like this band is getting a little too much praise atm. Courntey's vocals aren't that great either imo, or at least they get dragged down by all the effects and obvious pitch correction. She has a pleasant singing style in general and I like it, but I don't like what this style of music is making of it

I think it's great, but can see why others don't. I love what they're doing.
Their live videos on YT show she has the chops, so I am not worried with all of the effects on the studio versions. I just enjoy this music, and don't overanalyze it like many.
I noticed I was overanalyzing the new TDWP single and started to enjoy it after I let myself go. This isn't going to be a proggy band like some of their older stuff. If that upsets you, then the new album won't be for you.

As much as it's a product of them being a newer band & of the pandemic screwing up their trajectory, I'm just not a fan of releasing a string of disconnected singles. Their LP is coming up and I'm hoping they can really hit it out of the park in the context of a proper LP. Even their first was a bit short.

Yeah I had that same thought this morning nash. I was re-listening to the single and realized just how similar her clean delivery and its cadence is in every song.
Most of their tracks are 10/10s for me anyway, but I'm excited to see how different the LP is. They've talked a bit about changing up their sound, so I'm guessing this being released as a single has the same intent as making tracks like Holy Roller did -- hyping up the core kids and getting lots of YT views/hype/building the brand on guilty pleasure slams/choruses.

Courtney answered a few fan questions on Twitter and said to not expect the album to sound just like this song. This was written throughout the same time as Blessed Be and Holy Roller, so they are definitely keen on experimenting.
I just took this as an homage to metalcore bops and they then said that. I enjoy this single collection a good bit, but I prefer their newer sound more so I guess it didn't bother me as much.

They said they have an exclusive with somebody to announce their LP and I am expecting another single to follow with that. I bet that song will be a more experimental one to get both audiences between the two singles.

Garth plz
I love Blessed Be and Constance because I can hear the band evolving, trying new things, working with Courtney's fantastic voice etc
New single is just less good than Blessed Be and less adventurous than Constance. It's just a generic single and it(s the first time I feel that from a Spiritbox release. And apparently I'm not the only one.
I'm still hyped for the new album but I hope every song is not like this one, that's all.

Circle With Me is a nice vibe but the second half of the song kicks the shit out of the first half. The breakdown was good and the last chorus was great with the added guitar riff under it, plus Courtney was switching up vocal melodies
