Oblivions is so good
|

Agreed on "Oblivions", reminds me Hands Away by Interpol (which might be my favourite song on my favourite album so...) I think the snare in the intro is the Brian moment that the guy on the last page said he was missing.

Just realized the title track "I Am Easy to Find" has the same chord progression as "Slipping Husband"

They're the exact same band except the lead singer drinks wine instead of whacking it to kiddos
|

Okay so i actually did mash-up Slipping Husband and I Am Easy to Find if anyone's curious (link is on reddit because Soundcloud immediately took it down):

Lol, these guys are nothing like Brand New. They are popular on Sput, but then again I guess they’re popular in many music orientated corners of the internet.

Is this album suitable as a start when listening to the band first time?
|
| |
No. Start with Alligator and make your way along.

Any of Alligator, Boxer, High Violet, or Trouble Will Find Me is a good starting point.

Is this as disappointing as the last one?
|
| |
Well I wanted to start with Sleep Well Beast last your but didn't do it and thought now is the chance...well.
|
| |
SWB is definitely not a great starting point.

I found this album pretty easily. Will jam this weekend.

After a few listens I'm resigned to thinking some of this is pretty great and just as much is mad boring. And then there's Dust and Kansas which are both bottom tier National songs. overall it has like 6 songs I'll probably come back to a lot but as an album it doesn't work super well, for me. Might lower rating.
